Do you need to be friends on Stage32 to message people you find in the browse section? Or are messages available between all users?

Christopher Cote you'd send a network request with a message.

QUESTION(S): when uploading loglines it gives choice of 'private' or 'public' - who sees what under each option? also, who sees the uploaded scripts? thanks! :)

Already noticed that in the lounges, moderators are not silent and are active participants. That's a nice change in social media. Shoutout to Maurice.

All this information is overwhelming we. What i need is a written list of all my resources so when I need something I know where to go. My short-term memory is going to remember little of what I'm hearing. Tbh, I spend a bit of time uploading to my profile so my bad.

Doesn't everybody today need postproduction specialists? You can't anticipate everything that will go wrong nor can have resources at your fingertips during production.

Very happy to see that the educational content is interactive and not just similar to showing up to a two hour college seminar. Makes me more comfortable about learning more.

I recently enjoyed a successful pitch on Stage 32 and the producer asked for my script, my script deck and sizzler reel. I was only able to upload the script. Can I send the script deck and sizzler reel to the moderator to pass on to the producer?

Eight minutes total, that's a lot of pressure. Good challenge to have. I guess it goes without saying that nothing is ready to proceed unless it's good enough to be explained in six minutes. Good reference point.

OK I'm back. Which do you recommend to get better success in your pitch meetings? Writing or Live pitching?

QUESTION: thinking out loud - could there be a feedback service at the treatment phase?
6 people like this
Marc Ginsburg both formats have similar success ratio to get a script request or a meeting request. The ratio is something like 52-48%. Very similar. Do what you are more comfortable with. There are pros and cons to both. IF you are not available for a specific session, sending a written pitch is a great way to get in. If you are available and comfortable connecting 1:1, really great to do a verbal pitch.

Hey Ashley Renee Smith, saying hi from Lisbon, Portugal! I would love to share my logline to the community, how I can do that? One more question: There is a blog explaining how to navigate in the community? If so, can you share it? Thank you

I'm grateful for your contest hub - I know these contests are legit and carry weight. I've fallen for some shockers in the past. Stage 32 contest hub all the way!

Is there someone at Stage 32 who can direct me to the right places for my genre, such as who to pitch to, which contest(s) to enter, etc......on a very slim budget?

Marc Ginsburg I've found the Success Team very helpful. Success@stage32.com Or you can post this question in the screenwriting lounge.

I'm going to take a bold move. I believe as a longtime writer that i can offer help and consultation services for other writers so that is how I can contribute to Stage 32. I cannot help with industry moves but I can help with helping writers achieve better writing.

I'm surprised at how many execs and producers are actually on the platform. Feels like goals are actually achievable and not just random circumstance.

Christopher Cote Definitely. When you put yourself out there, it all becomes possible.

Christopher Cote I couldn't agree more. It's so great to know it's not an impossible dream - it's absolutely possible. However, if your dream doesn't work out exactly how you expected to - that's OK. You'll be learning heaps and connecting with brilliant people. And here you can grow, don't stop at one dream, have a million of them!

As an introverted writer, I've finally realized that I have to act as my own producer. I'm starting to send out query letters, make phone calls, and share my loglines and pitch decks with prospective producers, directors, and actors. It''s as time-consuming as writing, but an essential part of the profession.

Christopher Cote, That’s exactly right! That's because on Stage 32, Moderators are fellow members who love this community and generously volunteer their time to help others navigate the platform, discover resources, and feel supported. They’re not bots or staff, they’re creatives just like you who genuinely care about making this space the best it can be.
Our Moderators are incredible artists, collaborators, and role models who lead by example every day. They're great people to network with and learn from. Huge shoutout to Maurice and the rest of the Mod Squad, they all make this community stronger, safer, and more inspiring.

Sebastian Tudores love that. something we discussed many times. While there isn't a specific treatment consultation yet, the closest thing would be a career development call where you can upload a document with some information about you, what you're trying to do, where you are with the project and more info about the project then you can discuss with the exec: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=6.
