Received a request today for "Sloppy Seconds" from Zero Gravity Management. I'm sure many of you have had contact with them. What should I expect, if anything at all? Share your experiences in the comments.

DT Houston cold query. I've sent out about 25 emails so far. Keep revising my logline, so the first 20 emails probably went straight to trash. I'm not going to get too hyped up, but I'd like to think I'm heading in a better direction with my queries.

Congrats, Adam. Following as I, too, reached out to them this morning via cold query and received a request. I had already purchased a First 10-page Review from them yesterday so I figure they at least have to read a few pages. Good luck!

Gina Petrone good luck to you! Where did buy the coverage from? I didn't notice anything on their website.

I bought it here under Script Coverage with a literary manager from ZG named "S.A.". I let them know when I submitted my script so fingers crossed!

Gina Petrone That's great, I signed up for my first paid pitch yesterday, not to ZG but to a random producer. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

Script request followed by silence. Repeat ad nauseam.

Eric Christopherson That's sorta what I was thinking.

That's why I paid for the review, lol

No experience with them, but I strongly suggest you get coverage on it before submitting it to them.

There's three certainties in any screenwriters life; death, taxes, and receiving a read request from Zero Gravity.
Well, maybe not the taxes bit.
A quick Google will show you about a billion people who've asked the same question.

Not sure about requests from them, but the silence thing is very true. They’ll accept all submissions as long as you fill out paperwork and have a logline.

So, any other good companies that blindly take unsolicited submissions?

Adam Brandt I received the paid review and it was good for a first try. I got a "Pass" on the story (which to be fair, is GOT in scope) but a "Consider" on the writer. Good notes.

Gina Petrone That's cool, did it come with notes that will help you improve? Nice turnaround time as well. I did a written pitch with someone else and it said 3 weeks...

Adam Brandt A few but not much you can mention on 10 pages. Said "there is an intriguing story building here but it feels like a lot is going on", a "little expositional" but the description of scenes "is rich and visual." I should have ordered a full script read as the story is massive with a large ensemble. 10-page read probably better for a feature not TV series. Maybe it'll get a different reader with the eternal cold query.
