*updated*Video pitched friday!

After a first read-request - followed by said exec reading our work - we've skyped with an exec who's interested in shopping our work.! We'd like to thank Joey Tuccio for the webinar because it's given us so much more confidence and so many useful tips! We've pitched in-person before but it's the first time we'll be skype pitching. All the little tips in last week's webinar (+ the extra goodies we found in the documents sent to us about the pitching process) will hopefully result in good...results! Joey, we'll take your advise on pitching high-end scifi with an extra project in the back of our minds & we'll be focussing on character development rather than putting focus on the budget! (if we ever get to meet, remind us to buy you a pina colada!) Please keep fingers and toes crossed for us, knock on wood, throw salt over the good-luck side of your shoulders! D&E

How did it go for you? I did not see this in time to pray for its success before the pitch. Being new to the community I am reading everything, gleaning insights and understanding. Best of outcomes to you!

How did it go?

The pitch meeting was on Friday and went very well! He told us he's interested in shopping one of our projects (he knows his way around quite a few network execs) and is currently re-reading it and was going to get back with a finalized offer on paper ASAP! From our side, he asked us to write a couple of clarifications into the script (literally 3 sentences) so we're doing that for him. What he said and asked made a lot of sense. It's one of those things you don't really notice when you're constantly in your head with the story, or writing it yourself. When he told us "you know that, but you know the story inside out. It might not be that clear to the reader" we were like: "oooh...come to think of it...yeah". A single "yes" dumbs down the so many noes you get when you're trying to get your foot through the door & your work out there! Reinvigorated much!

Sylvia Marie Llewellyn

Congratulations Ladies. Great news. xo

Richard "RB" Botto

Shari D. Frost

Congrats, E. Twins - that's so exciting!!

W. Keith Sewell

Congrats Twins... One word of caution, double check your hookup/ connection before gametime! Be sure it doesn't spaz' out on you in the middle of your pitch. If it does, don't stop... keep that pitch going strong! They'll luv your tenacity and determination to overcome obstacles and get the job done!!

We've had that happen to us at important times - like when we're doing interviews over Skype or something (even had a full-on modem blackout during a PR job interview once...not our fault, but not fun either. Still got the job, haha) Thankfully, our modem and connection worked like a charm this time, we were able to respond to all of his questions, clarify a few things & told him we'd make the necessary adjustments where he did have a point.

Joey can tell you during a Skype pitch his camera went down. I could not see them but they could still see me. I guess I did not realize how much of my exuberance to good notes was on display. Joey still razzes me on it!

Geoffrey Calhoun

Best of luck. May the force be with you. Sorry big Star Wars fan:)

Evelien And Dorien Twins

Haha, big star wars fans ourselves! Could use a bit of The Force right now (minus the midichlorians)
