You can help me

Lisa Clemens

That depends on what kind of help you need. Advice? No problem. Looking to hire me? Absolutely not a problem. Want me to work for "Full credit only" or "No pay until the film is released"...highly unlikely.

Jay Dee Simpson

I have a published book I would like to turn into a screenplay, can I hire someone to do that for me

Lisa Clemens

"Prisoners of Our Own Device?" I assume? If you accept my connection request I can message you privately.

Leah Waller

I think most of the screenwriters here write full features - it's sort part of the job. Are you looking for help or advice? You could probably even find a ghost writer here. But if you're looking for free work then I agree with Lisa - highly unlikely.

Danny Manus

Jay Dee, sure there are people who can do that for you. But the ones who really know what they're doing are going to be pretty expensive. The ones willing to do it for free are prob not writers you'd want doing it. No offense to anyone...

I was looking in the main for advice on how to turn the book into a script, and how much a good scriptwriter would charge to do the job.. Thanks for answers, Danny, Leah and Lisa. I think Lisa was replying to someone elses post that I was following.

Danny Manus

Well I think you'll find a range of prices from 2500-25,000. it just depends on who you want writing your story.
