Hi, I'm Alana and I'm an aspiring screenwriter and producer. I've studied in the field for over 6 years and am just trying to perfect my craft and find a way into the industry. Hi Alana. Screenwriter William Goldman is famous for saying about the biz, "Nobody knows anything." It changes all the time. You just have to keep at it.
Yesterday I had the good fortune to talk to Joey Tuccio (of Stage 32's Happy Writers) for a few minutes. I told him I'm still so new to screenwriting that I don't know what to expect after sending out queries. "Does two months without response after a script is requested mean no interest, or is Hollywood crazy and nobody has even looked at the script they requested yet?", I mused to him. "Hollywood is crazy," was Joey's answer. Which, when you think about it, pretty much explains everything anyone could ever want to know about the biz. :-D

The industry is hard, but once you get moving it is very fast paced and you will love it, if I can help let me know, I am Retired, but after 35+ years, I know my way away, and become a friend on Facebook as many of the industry people are my friends... Chuck
