Screenwriting : Trottier rules!!! by Mike Romoth

Mike Romoth

Trottier rules!!!

Thanks to the sage advice of some S32 regulars, I finally picked up a copy of David Trottier's Screenwriters Bible. Wow! What a great book for screenwriters! I can see why this is considered the definitive reference by so many pros. He opens with such a strong but simple analysis of the vital differences between writing for screen, stage, and the novel form. It really opened my eyes! And that was on the first page! He uses such great examples to justify each of his arguments! This is THE essential text for beginners and experts alike, and I am repeating this oft-heard message for anyone out there looking for a good text to guide them in their work.

Beth Fox Heisinger

Yes, Mike, such a great book! The perfect reference to always keep on hand. Just yesterday, I ordered myself the sixth edition. :)

Robert Huerta

A good reference book.

Trey Wickwire

My favorite too.

Anthony Cawood

I keep mine next to my laptop... currently 18 inches from me ;- ) (6th Edition)

Shawn Speake

That's what's up, Mike!

Pierre Langenegger

I consider it a must have. If you're only going to buy one book on screenwriting then this is the one.

Chanel Ashley

I agree with everyone above, great book, my favourite.

David Levy

I really need to get this book as Beth pointed out to me!
