I have written a lot of screenplays were my characters are racing against time. It helps build tension.
In most stories, if the main characters are NOT racing against time, it's a rarity.
race against TIME is as old as dirt 'tool' and one of the best tools for last act climax/tension/suspense/mano-o-mano confrontation between Hero v. Villain.
Me and my characters are all racing against time.
