Have you ever sent off a draft to some kind soul who offered to read your script, but immediately upon sending it, thought of changes that they absolutely MUST have or they will surely not like it as well, so you start read-this-draft-instead bombing them?
Also asking for a friend.

I dig it's a meme, but why jaded of re-writing? It's essential for the job 'Christ sakes...It's like soldier japing he needs to carry out a gun...
To exact...I constantly write emails in my line of (paid) work and still do drafts.

It may be a tough pill to swallow, but pro writers MUST accept the inarguable fact that it takes as many drafts, as many years/days/months, as it takes to write the most authentic, honest version of a script. Frustrating, yes. Angry making, sometimes. But ultimately, the journey of multiple draft writing is simply part of the game. The first draft is usually a spilling of ideas - just getting them out of your head. Subsequent drafts are about structure, elimination, replacing, and adding, all the while getting clearer and more honest with the character/story development. One thing is for sure when a story (script or another format) is filled with nonsense and unclear thinking, every reader will know. So embrace the drafts - it is what it is.
