Free Formatting Programs For Beginners

Hey Everyone, hope you guys are staying positive during these uncertain times. I have a question about a program called CELTX, has anyone used it? And if so, what are your thoughts on using it for future projects? Any feedback on this topic will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much the help.

Eoin O'Sullivan

Hi Adrian,

It's what have used for a number of years and continue to use. I have the desktop version 2.9.1. I have used the Online Cloud version to collaborate. I think it's pretty straight forward to use in both versions.

Kind Regards,

Eoin

I liked Celtx, but when I was in film school, they had me buy MovieMagic and have been using that ever since.. I like MovieMagic but am probably not even touching half the features it can do. Curious about Final Draft as that seems to be the industry standard, no?

I used it for many years. I was a huge fan. I stopped when they changed their iPad app to nothing more than a browser which stopped me from working off-line.

I used to use it, when it was Desktop software. They lost a couple of my screenplays when they switched to the Online software, so I lost them. I now use WriterDuet. I find it easier to use and better at handling conversions between different file formats. Its web based like Celtx but I like WriterDuet a lot more.
