Final Draft only acceptable script format?

Hi all, I'm trying to resolve an informational conflict I'm coming up against re: submitting screenplays in Final Draft vs. Word vs. PDF. I see calls for screenplays in which producers and agents seek scripts in either PDF or RTF (Rich Text Format), which can both be generated via a Word doc source....

Worry not MNHMLB (that's a mouthful) I always write with tongue firmly lodged in cheek.I saw no disrespect in what you said. I only write what I write because someone has to give this place a little light as the darkness can be numbing at times.

Chris Keaton

You'll be submitting PDF files. No need for the the source file unless someone bought the screenplay and then they can put it in whatever format they want.

Me? send all 5 versions you have as attachments. Megabytes are cheap :-) eh?

Hello folks from wintery, quarantined, Melbourne, Australia!!!

I am an editor, have made a bunch of shorts and have written a handful of scripts. My first feature 'Choir Girl,' a dark, confronting indie flick, in the style of 'Joker,' is about to be released on Itunes.

Interested in hearing if anyone has any advice/comments, especially to those who been forced...

True that.

I was wondering what was going to happen with the film. It's more an art house film because it's too confronting for mainstream. I'd probably go down that path. Did Lucinda get you any distribution meetings with Art house companies?

Michael Wormald

How are things with you Leanne? Luce is still waiting to hear back from the sales agent. At the moment we're reaching out to reviewers, and looking at some of the lower tier, cheaper festivals, to get some kind of traction. Odd though, movie isn't 'that' confronting.

Blockchain for films!

Hi film makers and distributors. I am still trying to find out if we can somehow use blockchain technology in the meta data of our films to make sure we know where our films are being screened and that we are getting paid for that screening. Anyone have any positive information about it?

Block chain

Hi everyone, I want to know if anyone has worked out how to include block chain technology into films?

I'd like to start using this technology.

Theresa Joy Lorenzetti

Right, I follow; in most cases Blockchain development stems from the cybercurrency desire for cash free access to the marketplace. I can't see any other real reason.

Leanne Campbell

In terms of film making I want to add blockchain to my films meta data to make sure I can track who is watching the film and making sure the money they pay to see it comes to me. Blockchain is about the finances generated by a product being distributed to the owner.
