About Marci

Marci Lynn McGuinness is the author of 36 books, story teller extraordinaire, screenwriter, and southwestern Pennsylvanian historian.

She is the expert on 1913 – 1922 Summit Mountain Hill Climb and Uniontown Speedway board track history, and the auto pioneers who backed the big races. (Chevrolets, Duesenbergs, Oldfield, Universal Film President) McGuinness' screenplay, Speed King, log line:
“Pre NASCAR men raced on boards, vying and dying for the Universal Film Trophy.”

McGuinness' third novel, “Murder in the Vineyard” was released in May 2014. Meet the lingering spirits of Senator Crow, Congressman Andrew Stewart and George Titlow. Crow haunts today's Chiristian Klay Winery in Chalk Hill, PA. Visit him in the tasting room!

McGuinness has instigated an annual Summit Mountain Hill Climb to celebrate 100 years of racing history. See the June 14, 2014 hill climb video on her youtube channel, The Marci McGuinness Show! McGuinness' Uniontown Speedway and hill climb photo collection is second to none – over 250 photos and climbing.

Of her 34 books, over half are on SW PA history and legends, many are on Ohiopyle. She has also ghostwritten over a dozen books and memoirs and assists authors in taking their work from manuscript to book.

McGuinness is presently turning several of her books into screenplays.

A prolific author, she writes in a wide range of genres. In addition to history and mysteries, she has written and published children's books, haunted books, e books, tourism and outdoor sports books, guidebooks and cookbooks.

She is presently working to develop her Speed Kings film, a series of e stories, and Laurel Highland Legends, Volume II.
