Really neat premise, John! I love the setup!

Take my advice with a grain of salt, but I think your logline will flow better if you omit some of the punctuation. For example (In an attempt to save his career, a self-destructive actor scarred by tragedy travels to a foreign country to star in a film but uncovers and falls victim to a dangerous criminal dating agency.) Excellent work!
