Good Day Stage 32
I would love to talk to you about several projects I am working on, how they came to be and the plan of action moving forward.
I am building a 'super' team' of highly talented professionals to work on several turn-key (from idea to sale) projects.
For me, the entertainment business is like any other; the more a group of people contribute towards a collective aim/goal, the greater chance of individual goals being achieved.
On the surface, that may sound simple, but synergy and understanding are at the group's focus, as there is no room at THIS table for Mr Ego and his close-friend Pride.
How does it work, and who benefits?
It's actually simple. A store needs bread, so they place an order with the local baker, who himself requires a list of ingredients; water, flour, salt, yeast, grains/seeds and herbs. I will neither insult your intelligence nor bore you by continuing...I'm sure you get the concept. It is this model I am using which all those involved get credited for.
Not only has this been an amazingly effective process, but the odds of success have increased for everyone involved; as one gets their foot in the door, we all do.
How does this benefit an agent/studio/producer/director?
When an agent/studio/producer/director request a particular style/genre of a script, they have a whole catalogue of scripts to choose from. Some writers have a great script, but one isn't enough to secure a long-term agreement with a studio (for example), and therefore it is turned down, an opportunity now missed. Others are great writers in a particular genre, era, style, but a request comes in, outside their comfort zone, and they get writer's block. Using our approach eliminates any chance of this happening, as we (the collective) will have enough material for any request, increasing all possibilities of a successful exchange.
I hope I have provided enough information above allowing for a more informed decision on the value we add.
If you would like to know more or set up a Zoom/Skype/WhatsApp/Telegram meeting, please don't hesitate to send me a 'DM' OR contact me directly at direct@fgdl.co.uk / +44(0) 207 101 3289
I look forward to hearing from you.
Naithan
This is an interesting idea, Naithan Hilaire! It kind of reminds me of what Joseph Gordon-Levitt did with HitRecord.org Have you discussed this premise in the Producing Lounge? I wonder what other producers are doing to create a community to pull from: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing

Karen "Kay" Ross Thank you. It is funny that you ask this as the next step in the action plan was to reach out to the producing lounge.
I have literally put together a 'super team' of highly talented screenwriters covering every genre and market available. The most significant part, though, is they have all sold scripts, currently have features/tv-shows/documentaries/pilots showing on Netflix, Amazon, Starz, BBC, etc. They still have existing relationships with some of these studios/production companies. Our team covers everything from Features, TV series, Documentaries, Podcasts, Live Shows and more.
Now that the 'super team' are ready and all terms are agreed, I will be sharing the vision and goal with the production lounge. Let's hope it is received with the same energy you have expressed.
Any advice you have will be most welcomed.

No grand advice, no - I think your post was very well crafted! All I would say is that Stage 32 is about the long game. Building relationships, not boosting numbers. I started a Member Spotlight blog series to highlight that conversations can start in a lounge, lead to a direct message exchange, and then to a Zoom chat or in-person meet-up. It's a process, but you meet really dedicated creatives that way. Just have patience, be authentically you, and you'll do great!
Also, if you'd like any leads on some of our most dedicated and talented writers, I would suggest emailing our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch: J.Mirch@stage32.com You could also join the Stage 32 Writer's Room for a free trial month to network with our close-knit group of writers. Ask Jason, he can give you a link for your first month free!
For any orders, email Nick or Angela at writerhelp@stage32.com - you'll get the fastest response that way! Good luck with your pitch!
