Scottish mystery drama pilot needs financial help to be completed and pitched to streaming platforms. Pilot has been started but lacks the funding and locations to complete the remaining scenes. Please message if interested. Thank you in advance.
I would think so, but the current director/producer won't do the promo. I'm not sure what to do to light a fire under him, without insulting him. It was hard enough to get him in the first place. Not many filmmakers will take on a zero budget pilot. I don't want him leaving it altogether, then I'd really be stuck.
I'm guessing you didn't read the above post. There is no funding as that, from everything read, is one of the producer's jobs to secure funding, not the writer, which I am. Or is that incorrect?
Well, he knew from the first communication that there was no funding and it was his job as producer to secure the funding. We got as many scenes as possible done for free using locations I had secured. As the writer, I was very conscientious about utilising 'free' locations for different scenes. But there's some important scenes that need specific locations, and I've even suggested to him how to film them (from things I've learned in the past as crew on other film projects), but he won't do it. We started this in 2021, and the pilot is still not finished. :(

Do you have enough footage to cut a promo from what you've shot of the pilot? That can sometimes help when looking funding.

Great idea, Ewan Dunbar!

Next question maybe would be what you would be willing to pay max to someone willing to cut you a promo?

Emily A Dinwiddie say what? The producer won’t do the promo? It sounds like you have the wrong person for the job!

I agree. It's looking that way.
