Hi everyone,
I am Will an aspiring television and film producer based in Virginia ( close to the Virginia Beach area). I have a masters degree in television and film producing and I am really looking to network with fellow filmmakers across the globe. I am wondering if anyone is looking for a producer for any of their projects? I have experience and can even do remote work (help with marketing, distribution, etc). The term 'producer' is, by itself, a very vague term. What type of Producer do you have in mind? Executive Producer, Line Producer, Field Producer...? Your local tv news channel calls half its staff 'producers'. Let's just give 'em fancy titles so we don't have to pay 'em so much.

Doug Nelson Very true, I looking to be an executive or co producer on film projects. Yes, news stations definitely get by on calling most of the staff producers ha.

William - the Executive Producer is the guy who has or can get the money. Generally they're more business oriented than creative. Are you rich or have lots of sources for big money?

Doug Nelson True I guess I am thinking of the smaller projects I have been apart of where I was a producer. Meaning I helped with some production costs ( not a huge sum of money) , location scouting, script supervisor, casting.
