Don't Quit On Me Now

Hey guys! Haven't been here as often this past week. Been one hell of a week. In a good way though. Stepped back to finalize my website, begin the launch process of my poetry clothing line merch, and revise my next poetry book for publishing on Amazon. Hopefully to launch each by next week. Trying to also get through with a new writing opportunity that would stabilize my income so i'd be able to invest so much more in screenwriting, so fingers crossed with that. Say a prayer for me. All this while working a 9-5 and ghost writing poetry and music for clients via Fiverr :/

Got back to revising one of my scripts last night with a fresh perspective and I'm loving the new vision I'm adding to it. Going to start my next script soon as well.

I just want to take this time back to say a few words to all those in a similar position as myself; working a day job and managing life while trying to pursue a career in the industry. I've seen some start with me and disappear. I've seen some struggle to keep the fire burning. I stated everything at the start, because I wanted you to know it's possible. I know it's hard, really hard, but it's not impossible. It's overwhelming more often than not. It's going to take some sacrifices in sleep (oh boy do I miss my bed), but if you're really passionate and want this, let that be your drive. Do what it takes. Push, and when you can't push anymore...push some more. I want to see many of you go the journey alongside me. I want to have the knowledge and some grit in the industry like those here I look up to.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Believe in yourself, and if you really want this, put the work in, make the effort. If you're not good enough, then keep learning, keep writing, keep studying, get better! I'm doing this, or I'm going to die trying (okay maybe a little extreme lol, but you catch my drift). Just don't quit. You're in the right place to start. Just keep being present, and keep working, and making those connections.

Sorry for the motivational rant guys. Do have a creative night everyone (^_^)

Here’s a writer whose original concept took 22 years to make into a movie. He also co-wrote Shazam.

Thanks for the well wishes, Adam! Much appreciated. You keep at it yourself. Poetry was my first avenue of writing, I still do it to this day. Glad to meet a fellow poetry writer.

Dang, Dan. That's a long time. But only goes to show. The seed was planted way back then, and still made it's way to the screen.
