Hi, my name is Lori Wilde. I'm a NYT bestselling novelist and Hallmark has made seven movies from my books in the past year. I got the screenwriting bug and took the professional program in TV writing at UCLA in 2022. I'm excited about shifting gears and trying a new medium. I love challenges and hope to connect with writers, directors, and producers.

Hi Lori Wilde! I'm a author and screenwriter too, but I'm still working toward getting a literary manager and publisher. Congratulations on all your accomplishments. I can't wait for the day I can say I'm a NYT bestselling novelist haha

Thanks, Dustin. Keep writing. It only took me 15 years and 6o published novels to hit the NYT.

Hi Maurice. I wasn't an overnight success. My literary agent had been trying to get Hollywood interested in the first book that sold to Hallmark since 2007! But once they were on board, Hallmark was all in. It didn't hurt that the three-movie series broke viewing records. I can't claim the credit. That was all due to the fabulous producers, the terrific screenwriters, Sandra and Judith Berg, and top-notch acting from Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney.

Hi Lori - it’s great to meet you here in the community. I’m really impressed with your story and love that you’ve been so prolific and now have the screenwriting bug. Stage 32 has fabulous education for screenwriters of all levels. Email me directly any time at edu@stage32.com if I can ever recommend any courses for you here. Right off the bat I recommend 2 upcoming writing labs: Colleen Labella is hosting a lab where you will write your one original female-driven TV pilot under her mentorship (Colleen has developed shows like RUSSIAN DOLL on Netflix). Here is a link to Colleen’s lab: https://www.stage32.com/classes/Stage-32-Screenwriting-Lab-Write-Your-Fe... Another lab that I recommend is Producer and executive Matt Bierman’s upcoming lab called Stage 32 Screenwriting Lab: Develop A Romantic Comedy Feature Film Concept & Write a Treatment in 8 Weeks. Matt, who’s worked at Warner Bros, Disney & Paramount) is also working with a small group of writers to create the materials you need to sell a romcom to networks like Hallmark and Lifetime and streamers like Netflix. Here’s a link to Matt’s lab: https://www.stage32.com/classes/Create-The-Elements-You-Need-To-Sell-You...
