Hey Stage 32 family — I just wrapped up a little side project that might be useful for fellow screenwriters. I created a one-page showcase of my four feature screenplays — genres, loglines, key selling points, contest traction, and a QR code linking to my pitch decks & scripts.
It’s nothing fancy — just clean, clear, and easy to skim — but it’s already helping me present my work professionally without overwhelming people. I'm an amateur graphic artist, and I created this in Photoshop.
A few takeaways if you want to try something similar:
1) Keep it visually simple. One sheet means one quick glance. Avoid overloading it with text — clarity is more persuasive than cramming in everything.
2) Lead with your best hooks. Your logline is prime real estate — make sure it’s tight, emotional, and makes someone want to ask “Tell me more.”
3) Make it easy to take the next step. Whether it’s a QR code, link, or email, give people a direct path to see more. Don’t make them hunt for you.
I’m happy to share more about the formatting process or how I keep it adaptable for different uses (festivals, producers, networking).
I'd love to see other examples of one-sheets writers are using for their work!

I love this, James! What app did you use to make this? I think it's perfect for a resume or pitch sheet to send to agents and managers!

I used Photoshop with a 4 column template to make this one-sheet.

Hey, James Tuverson. Congratulations on wrapping up the one-sheet! I like the idea of showcasing four screenplays on one sheet! Thanks for the idea and takeaways.
Here's the kind of one-sheet I use for my scripts. I've been thinking about changing up the structure.

Thanks, @James. That screenshot is blurry, so I'm posting it again. Thanks again for the idea and takeaways. I might make a one-page showcase this weekend.

Thank you for posting the clearer screenshot, @Maurice. Oh no! Zombies that can turn INVISIBLE? This is the stuff my worst nightmares are made of! Well done on the 1-sheet and a showcase that allows us to post ours would be wonderful and super supportive.

WR code for the WIN !! Quick question about how using AI generated images in something like this or a pitch deck effects what a producer or executive might feel ? Have you had any negative feedback or success?

You're welcome, James Tuverson. Thanks. The tagline is "You never see them coming." I might add it to the one-sheet.

Jacob, this is a great question and one I have been wrestling with as well. I have been spending a lot of time with AI image generation with regard to my projects as a tool to express the ideas visually. What I believe (at the moment) is this: Most producers are going to appreciate the effort I've put into using AI imagery to illustrate the most important element, which is the story. I am not walking in trying to sell the AI art. My amateur attempts at creating art for the story may put some producers off, it's true. But I know the imagery has helped me, the writer, understand the stories even better, so I think it'll be effective for producers as well.

You're welcome, Jacob Jamieson. :D There's different ways to fight invisible zombies. Throw paint or something on them, listen for their footsteps, etc. so you can see/hear them, then use any weapon you can find.

James Tuverson Eh , yeah its a gutter for sure. In my mind i understand it 100% helps , but now days it can also be a full kick to the teeth IF whomever you pitch to hates anything AI, My daughter is a talented artist and will do B/W sketches for me but I think to myself when leaving an impression is Black and white as memorable as a full rendered AI Image , I personally know nothing about it but see the random adverts for "upload a still photo from your childhood sitting on grandpas lap and AI will make it a full 20 second moving live action shot" I havent pulled the trigger cause Im not ready for the waterworks if you are picking up what i am putting down . I'll post the same question in Writers room and circle back to you with what i get,.

Jacob Jamieson AI is a great tool and honestly, if someone's gonna use that as an excuse to say "no", then I'll be glad I didn't waste any more time with them.

Thank you, Erin Leigh ! Just as a tip, create separate text boxes for each of the categories (Logline, Genre, Key Selling Points, etc.) so that all the Genres line up, all the Loglines start at the same line, and so on. The image attached shows the project in Photoshop with the cyan guides. It looks better imho and will be easier to change if needed. I'd love to see it when you're done!

I just watched Zombies Take The Schoolyard, James Tuverson. I like the movie and how it was shot (the camera angles)! Unique spin on the Zombie genre. I can see this being a short film series or feature series. Zombies Take The Schoolyard, Zombies Take The Fast Food Place, etc.

James Tuverson Thanks! I don't have access to Photoshop, so I use Canva for my graphic design needs, but your visual definitely helps! Depending on how it goes, I may shoot it your way on Sunday. :)

James Tuverson what a great idea and a generous share - thank you. I can share some feedback I have gotten regarding Jacob Jamieson 's question about AI poster art: doesn't seem to be an objection to it for things like your mood board or graphics used as part of pitch decks. And even for a poster image - BUT when we show actual faces of people (our characters) then I've been told that may create confusion as to whether these are AI mockups of actual actors you want use, etc. and also in a way starts 'dictating' to the producer, director, etc. casting choices. I can understand that objection as I want, as a producer, to imagine the film on my own as I read the script, without having been already conditioned to see a specific face associated with it. So, for example, this kind of producer would say that the My Dirty Secrets poster works because it gives me a tonal mood about the story. I love using AI myself for this purpose (well, for everything these days really lol) but, unless I believe I'll be producing the project myself, I've tried to stick to mood/tone/vibe images. But it's always difficult to say what everyone is gonna like and not like in this industry so... there's that :)

Maurice Vaughan thank you so much for taking a look! It was such a fun movie to make; I can’t believe that was 15 years ago. What a terrific idea about creating a series. I remember when I was thinking of a title, my goal was to be able to imagine the whole movie in my head after hearing it. “Zombies Take The Schoolyard” just fit!

Sebastian Tudores Thank you for this thoughtful contribution and valuable information! I think this should actually form the basis for a new post or even a new teaching module, if it hadn’t already been addressed. As screenwriters we are using AI as a tool to help visualize our stories, but how and how extensively we use that imagery could affect our approach. Thanks for giving me such food for thought.

You're welcome, James Tuverson. I'd watch a "Zombies Take" series. My favorite titles are the ones where I can imagine the whole movies in my head after hearing them.

Sebastian Tudores great insight! understood , James Tuverson I agree , maybe we should dive deeper into this subject in writers room with some of the exc. and producers on a deeper level. I'd be happy to take point.

Thanks James Tuverson ! I’ve used Bitly before but didn’t know they generated QR codes. I’ll check it out!

Leonardo Ramirez 2 bitly does QR too. In fact, go directly to the QR creation tab and skip the URl shortening first. Bitly automatically shortens URLs for making a QR and for some reason, won’t allow you to use an already-shortened URL. So I had to use up my 2 free functions per month instead of combining them into 1 function. (URL shorten + QR creation.)

James Tuverson Maurice just pinged me in the writers room from my post about AI Images. The webcast with Anna last week , she states its frowned upon in pitch decks as well as other areas. Give it a look. Also Sebastian Tudores
the AMA recording free here: www.stage32.com/education/products/ask-me-anything-with-anna-henry The discussion about AI starts at 22:35 of the video.

Sebastian Tudores Jacob Jamieson thanks for the links and info from Anna Henry about how using AI in pitch decks is frowned upon; I was not able to access the actual video as the $49 charge was a little hefty to hear unpleasant news. AI is definitely a tool that can be used or misused depending on the talent and choices of the team using it. I also believe AI itself has built-in prejudices based on the fears of people— especially in the entertainment industry— that’s its capabilities will take away income, livelihood, etc. But it’s good to know that it’s definitely another reason for a producer to say “no”.

James Tuverson where was it 49$ ? It was free for all members live and to watch. That's strange. Anna knows here stuff. Its good to clear up, again i have ZERO idea how to even make an AI pitch deck but was planning on hiring someone to take care of it for me. Now we know

Jacob Jamieson correct. And hiring an artist is always a good option. I’m a writer, not an artist. But I still feel there’s some good uses for AI technology. Thank you again for all the effort to shed some light on this subject.
