It's National Screenwriters Day and I write screenplays because my characters keep me entertained and can do things I can't do. Why are you a screenwriter?

Sorry I 'm late responding Gustavo and Phillip, I hope you had a wonderful day and can share this next year.
Phillip - you're right! We can be superman/woman - perform extraordinary fetes and live lives only the imagination can achieve. We are - of the privileged few.

I did not know there was a screenwriters day. Glad to learn there is. @The Man Who Can. I second your sentiment F... the Zombie Threads!!! @Christopher. Nice one "The joy of these pesky dreams."
I just love the blank page, the morning rich roast coffee, and the fact my typing fingers can make the world anything I want it to be.

A post from 2019? Only 4 days ago, not years? Huzzah! Salvation!
I'm a screenwriter because I love the adventure - physically, mentally, and metaphorically.

@Adam Nice one! I think along similar lines. Writing is Roller coaster ride touching deep echelons.....way preferable to snail train touching obscure normality with predictable banal results.

I grew up deathly shy and super reserved. I started writing at 13 and started talking at 14...so writing has always been my longest and most favorite means of communication.
