Introduce Yourself : Good morning from my couch in Texas by Whitney Rowlett

Good morning from my couch in Texas

Well, this week has been something else.

I'm Whitney, and I'm a VR producer, production manager, and line producer. Since that usually isn't enough to pay the bills, I also teach historical dance (12thC - early 19thC), write curriculum, run a company specializing in sending interactive fairy tale characters to events, and am a color commentator for the International Jousting League.

I'm going stir crazy at home, currently, but have decided to spend the time doing research for a bunch of projects I have wanted to develop but never had time for. And rewatching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries for the tenth time.

Here's a picture of me doing high-kicks in a 15th century gown and rubber boots in a dressage arena. I'm not good at networking.

Hello Whitney! Everything about this picture is EPIC. I am in Texas too! Would love to connect

Welcome Whitney! What a great introduction!

Whitney Rowlett

I'm doing as well as I can :) And it's great to meet you all as well! Taylor C. Baker what part of Texas are you in?

Mark Connelly Wilson

Awesome - I perform as Merlin at Sherwood Forest Faire and other venues! At Sherwood our cast performs period dance and we hold jousting competitions as well. I have also created some interactive adventures! (Besides years of film scores, acting, editing and other film work). Trying to get my lady to watch Mrs. Fisher's mysteries... I am in the Austin Texas area! Nice to meet you!

Rich Cook - I was one of the choreographers at TRF for years and years - and the first French Joust Maiden ;) that's how I learned to teach! TRF has been very good to me.

Mark Connelly Wilson - Miss Fisher's is the beesssst! I have been out of TX too long to do much with Sherwood except show up one weekend and hug everyone I haven't seen in forever, but everyone that does that show loves it.

Tis a great faire - Just closed down last weekend... Three weekends in! Sigh... Here's a pic from this year's show!

Fantastic IY post, Whitney. And you're right, strange days indeed. But it sounds as if you're putting the extra time to good use! Keep those creative waves flowing.

Thank you, Richard "RB" Botto ! We're doing our best to find fun things to do :) Fancy hats possibly required.
