Regardless of varying opinions on AI, we believe it can be an incredible tool for creating concept trailers that allow writers to showcase their work without the need for a large budget or using footage from other films. During my Christmas break, I dedicated my time to learning about AI and now I present the finished concept trailer for Galaxy Fighters, written by my wife and myself. Please, I would LOVE feedback, as I'm curious about your take on this. Our script was also a Semifinalist in Stage 32's 1st Annual Action/Thriller Screenwriting Contest.

Congrats Danny on your semifinalist award...that is a great accomplishment. I also have used AI for my poster on Forgiving Retribution. I imported the images into photoshop and layered the components, added text and BANG...it's done. It is a great tool and can save a lot of time. Good luck with your features!

I don’t see a link to your concept trailer (I’m not the most tech savvy person) I would like to watch it if you tan direct me to it.
Rick Wheeler You just click on the picture and it shows a YouTube link, but also to make it easier. Here you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGT7PEoFbns

Thanks, Amanda Toney Part of the reason we felt confident with our script is because of Stage 32 and pitching it to different producers to help us understand our script better.

Thank you once again, everyone. Just wanted to share a bit about how I created the images for this project. I utilized Midjourney and DALL-E to generate the still images while using Runway to add motion to them. Finally, I edited everything together in Premiere. One of the challenges was keeping the prompts consistent for the characters. AI can't always provide you with the exact same characters, so I had to focus on finding features like being Irish American, having red hair, striking features, and being Caucasian. I did use paid subscriptions to speed up the image generation process and remove watermarks, but it's quite affordable. By watching a few YouTube videos about AI image generation, you can gain enough knowledge to create your own trailer. I believe this is an exciting new way for writers to promote their films. Now, if only AI could beat down a producer's door for me, lol...

This is a great idea!!...and...I hate to see a good idea sit on the shelf. Yet, if you are unproduced or not positioned properly in the entertainment industry, it can be a lofty tentpole to get momentum on. Perhaps hit up Corporate America?... like Marvel or Sewco and go the financial backing route--you don't need an agent/manager and CAmerica returns phone calls. Industry-wise, and since this is a no-brainer Mortal Kombat in Space-type screenplay, the right manager should be able to get off a submission request to James Wan, or Todd Garner over at Broken Road Productions, or the like. Good luck.
Pidge Jobst Thanks for the feedback and that is a good idea. We could send our concept trailer to managers to showcase our script instead of just some cold script.

Of all the examples of people posting AI content here, this is the most focused and effective. Nice job.

Hi Danny, if you walk into a jewelry store you can show the jeweler your diamond where others may only have a lump of coal. With most manager/agent firms and boutiques however, you can't even get in the front door to show either. In this way a trailer or script or misplaced submission poem are unfortunately equal. Most often, you still need a connection or referral. Addt.'l, the program organizers of NAPTE (Jan. 2025) and AFM Conference (Oct. 2024) will surely be looking for examples of Ai applications (hot topic) and unique approaches like yours that both new and established content creators are employing using Ai for their upcoming panel discussions, etc. An out-of-the-box approach, but if I was a program director for one of these, I'd be looking for well-done examples like yours to perhaps showcase.
