Writing Ideas

I lived in the US Virgin Islands for 10 years and would see these MEGA yachts come in and out during winter. Everyone from Mark Zuckerberg and Tom Hanks to the Walmart family has floating infrastructures with helicopters, bowling alleys and anything else you can Imagine. SOOOO I thought of a fun idea and wanted to know what you guys thought or if anyone wanted to collaborate strictly to pitch and toy with.

Title: the Jubilee (or another mega yacht boat name)

Psychology thriller

A terminally ill billionaire invites his closest executives and loyal staff on his mega yacht to celebrate his conglomerate’s 50th anniversary. During a lavish dinner, he shocks them by revealing that only those alive at the journey’s end will inherit his fortune—turning the celebration into a tense game of paranoia, betrayal, and deadly survival.

Maurice Vaughan

The idea sounds thrilling, Jacob Jamieson! I'd watch it. Maybe go with a different title. I think Rising Sun sounds like the title for an Action movie or Martial Arts movie.

Jacob Jamieson

Maurice Vaughan Gotcha ! Yeah that is the name of david geffen's yacht. I'll swap it for the Jubilee

Erin Leigh

Wow! That is a FANTASTIC premise.

Jacob Jamieson

Thank you kindly Erin Leigh I know it's a bit out of your wheelhouse but would welcome you to the party if you can muster a bit of a love story in the midst of chaos for it.

Jacob Jamieson

John James Not certain on what would make you think this community would tolerate such aggression towards another human being. If you have some type of beef with any of its members I'd suggest you keep your dirty laundry private. I find your words unacceptable on my post to collaborate with like minded creatives on a fun idea. Are you not embarrassed speaking in this way in public? If not - please allow me to be embarrassed for you and who ever raised such a hateful person.

Maurice Vaughan

Stage 32 just deleted John's account, Jacob Jamieson.

Jacob Jamieson

Maurice Vaughan In the words of Mary Poppins "Good riddance to bad rubbish" - Ive never witnessed such hate in a human.

Asl Seil

The first casualty has already been cast overboard — the thriller seems to have begun before the cameras even rolled

Amanda Toney

I agree…I love this premise!!!

Paul Rivers

Jacob Jamieson, that is a wonderful premise with huge potenial for thle movie theaters, love it.

Jacob Jamieson

Asl Seil You are so right ! I've got traction before an option Amanda Toney We creatives will send it your way once its dialed in. Paul Rivers I'm looking for a dance partners on this so "just say when" in my best Doc Holiday accent.

Ewan Dunbar

Great premise! Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

Anthony A Miller

Are you going to need a bigger boat or what?

Asl Seil

The ocean is vast. There’s enough depth for everyone.

Sebastian Tudores

I’m loving the paradox of someone terminally ill decreeing a challenge of survival Jacob Jamieson - super cool! cheers

Arthur Charpentier

Hi! I like this idea.

Jim Boston

Jacob, that sure sounds interesting...here's wishing you all the VERY BEST with "The Jubilee!"

Leonardo Ramirez 2

Love this premise Jacob Jamieson. Question: when you say "fortune" do you strictly mean money or the mechanism that made him his money? Either way...love it!

Göran Johansson

As a comedian, I couldn't help thinking about an alternative. The fatally ill rich man tells that "if you die before me, your relatives will inherit me, but if you stay alive, you inherit nothing". But perhaps that would not suit your ideas.

Asl Seil

The film has every chance of success. I want to see it myself.

Lauren Hackney

Ohhhhhhh this is so gooooood! I would tune in and watch this one for sure. Great idea!

Jacob Jamieson

Thank you all so much , Im about 10 pages in now ...but again just wanted this to be a fun thing. Maybe it has more legs than i thought

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Jacob Jamieson. Congratulations on writing about 10 pages!
