Hi,
My name is Jili Salzer, and I recently graduated in May this year from CSU Chico. I'm very interested in getting involved in the music or entertainment business, and have been searching for full-time jobs in Los Angeles. I am open to acting, modeling, singing, music, and even behind the scenes business jobs at entertainment companies. So far, I have been applying through online application portals, but I feel that if I keep going down this route, nothing will change. Do you have any advice, or anyone I could get in touch with that could help? If so, it would be deeply appreciated.
-Thank you
Jili Salzer
I wish I could help you, but I need someone to help me get to Netflix, but I've lost hope.

hi Wyman,
I'm AZ A young artist, a writer of films, series, songs, and a director as well, a designer of fashion and brands, and even a car designer. I am also a musician, a talented painter, and a martial arts player. I need a small opportunity to produce my first film with Netflix, and I promise you that if my film is produced and I direct it, it will win an Oscar.
Regards, AZ
Thanks for reading

AZ. AZ., I do appreciate your enthusiasm and excitement. Just that no director can guarantee an Oscar. Also, I am fine connecting with you if you choose. Just that you should get to know the person a little. I only started with Stage 32 in April. I am a not a producer or screen executive. I only recently started to make real connections in the industry. I am not the person who can get your script produced. You write that you apparently can do almost everything creatively, even designing cars. Perhaps it would be best to focus on one or two goals instead of everything at once. Just my thought. I wish you the best of luck.

Congrats on graduating! You're right that online applications can be a black hole. This industry runs on relationships, so you're already thinking like someone who gets it.
Being open to everything from acting to behind-the-scenes is smart - most of us ended up somewhere we didn't expect anyway. Dive into the Stage 32 community and start connecting with people who've made the LA move. Tons of job leads get shared in the lounges.
Also hit up our team at success@stage32.com - they're pros at matching people with the right resources and opportunities.
You've got the right approach. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Listen to me, I am a girl who lived in a country full of injustice and I have a movie that combines all my creativity from writing to the end. This movie can outperform all companies. I know that some of you do not believe me and say that I am stupid. But I am speaking seriously, sir. If you find someone who can connect me to any huge company like Netflix or Marvel, I did not forget this, and believe me, my name can be more famous than some companies. I am not joking.

Hi Jili,
Thank you for sharing your story, and congratulations on your degree! I can definitely relate, the entertainment industry is both exciting and highly competitive. The step you’ve taken here, introducing yourself and asking for advice, is already the right move.
Above all, stay motivated, persistent, and authentic. You’re already on the right path. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect further!

AZ. AZ., I truly do wish you the very best in life. I am all for believing in myself. I believe that I am a good songwriter. I have written more than 400 songs. However, I do not call myself the best. I do not call myself better than others. I certainly do not think you are stupid. As for finding connections, I am still making connections for my own projects. As I wrote before, I only started in April. It takes time to make connections. I am really not the person to ask for assistance unless you need music for one of your projects. I suggest trying to connect with people on Stage 32 that might actually be able to help you. I also suggest not telling anyone that you know you will win an Oscar or that you write better than anyone else. Belief in yourself is great, but not if you try to make yourself sound better than others. Sending best wishes from Germany.

I don’t think Wyman was trying to talk down to you. What he meant is simply that winning an Oscar is extremely difficult, and nobody can guarantee it. That said, I truly admire your confidence and your wide range of talents, it shows how much passion you bring to your work.I also understand how coming from a difficult environment shapes your determination, and that’s powerful. The key is to focus that energy on the projects and skills that will open doors for you. Having many talents is a gift, but knowing how to channel them toward one clear path will make you stand out even more.
If you believe your film has the strength to win an Oscar, hold on to that conviction, and I sincerely wish you the best in achieving it.

Minh Nguyen, you are correct. I was not trying to talk down to her. Talking down to someone is not my style. I would love to have my songs win an Oscar or Grammy or some other award. However, I do know it is not possible to guarantee such things. Am I a very good songwriter? Yes. However, I cannot say that I am the best.
