Woohoo, is right! Yes! I'm pretty excited about this writer, Wenonah Wilms. She's been writing since 2001 and is a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Talk about voice. ;) https://www.wenonahwrites.com.

That this isn’t easy. That it takes hard work and much time to hone one’s craft. A Nicholl fellowship win is huge. If you look at her website, she’s done a lot in those years. Has a full life. A vision. Not just screenwriting. Plus she’s a repped writer.

Owen after only 17 years - she's an overnight success. It takes lots and lots of time, hard work, learning, practice, patience, determination and a lot of other stuff. And that's how you too can become an overnight success.
So true! It takes the graft of many years to become an overnight success!
It sure does take a long time to become a writer who has something to say...
...........usually it takes....like....well.....how old are you today?

Personally, I don't give a shit if she's been writing seven years, seventeen years, or seventy years. Wenonah was also a Page Comedy Finalist in 2011, which means she has been recognized by three of the top festivals/contests. So congratulations to Wenonah for her consistent talent and patience. Writing good screenplays definitely takes time, talent and hard work and success should never be measured by how long it takes to achieve it. Thanks for posting this Mister MaxXx.
