New here but not new to screenwriting

Hey everyone. I go by Jade. I'm a screenwriter first a foremost but also taking the plunge and directing my first feature film in Toronto this year. It's a dark comedy with a middle-aged female lead. When I found my voice, it was in this script that I wrote 10 years ago - also won an award for it. So I stick with writing dark comedies now. Not all my scripts have female leads, but the majority of them do. Working on the financing part of this current film still... doing the grant thing and the crowdfunding thing.

If anyone wants to connect with me, feel free to.

Pete Allman

Welcome all who have a vision in the film business. This is Pete Allman, a long time member who got introduced to the film business through Damian Chapa, the star of the cult film, "Blood In Blood Out." Prior to meeting Damian, I had produced hundreds of radio broadcasts and over 300 hundred half hour television shows in Las Vegas on WB and Fox 5. It was a natural Segway as an entertainer to host and produce these shows. Shows such as "The Las vegan Report,"" CMX Sports and Entertainment," and "The Las Vegas Hollywood Report." But that's not were success ends in this business. It takes sheer persistence and networking to complete ones vision.

As a film producer, you are expected to raise funds for your project. I found it rather difficult to do so as an independent producer, who at first wanted the money and not so much the art. That is one of the mistakes in this business that some producers have made. Make sure that your film project has a message that will entertain the audience. In my case I produced the story of Marlon Brando as "Brando Unauthorized," a very sad disturbing story on his life and his son played by Damian Chapa and his son. I then produce two controversial films, "Killer Priest," a film that depicts mind control, and the so called one world government, not to mention that a priest must die because of taking advantage of young boys sexually. Another film that received millions of hits was "Vatos Locos," that clearly shows the drug problems we have today between the Asian gangs and Mexican gangs.

What are your true goals in this broken society. Do you want to make a difference ? Well, my mission now id to promote peace through a documentary I produced with Alex Ayzin. Mr. Ayzin escaped from the Soviet Union 39 years ago and landed in New York City with his family. He created a concert at Carnegie Hall, of some of the most dramatic symphonic music to uplift the human spirit. It is here that "Winds of Freedom," was produced into a full documentary covering mans quest to achieve peace for more then 100 years. You can screen WOF at www.windsoffreedom.org. It's time to educate our next generation on how to achieve peace.

Meanwhile, I'm producing a faith based film with Sy Richardson of "Repo Man," fame which will be shot in Ensenada. That is my mission in uplifting people who perhaps are lost souls in this world.

much success to everyone who reads this message.

Michael Finlayson

Best of luck Jade!!!!!

Janice L. Walker

Congratulations! What is the link for your crowdfunding campaign? I want to make sure I support it. If a majority of the members of Stage 32 would contribute a minimum of $5-$10, ideally $25 to film projects with the producer’s crowdfunding campaign, we would go along way at being a self-supporting community and getting many of these fantastic projects done. I’m going to support whenever I can as it is very true that we reap what we sow. And this is just a comment to inspire and motivate those who are willing and want to support independent filmmakers.

Roxanne Paukner

That's awesome! Best wishes for success and fun in the process. :)

Jade Stone

Thank you Roxanne Paukner and Janice L. Walker ! Janice L. Walker I haven’t shot the crowdfunding video yet but I will put the link once the page is up!
