I joined Stage 32 a couple of weeks ago, and have been observing from the corner of the room.
I spent most of my life raising my three kids to be creatives - musicians, writers, theatre - I finally have time to follow my dream of writing. Over the past few years, I have written a dystopian series (Secrets Above, Secrets Below, Secrets Revealed, and Secrets Long Ago).
Recently, I have started writing screenplays, and studying film and tv writing. I'm excited to finally share my first screenplay. I know there is someone in the industry who will also be passionate about the cruelness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), ambiguous grief, and reconciliation.
I'm excited to be here with you all! I look forward to reading more about your successes, and learning from this community.

Thank you for asking, Maurice. Faced with a terminal diagnosis, a renowned author desperately seeks redemption from her estranged daughter, who must confront years of deep-seated resentment and decide if healing is possible before time inevitably runs out.

Maurice Vaughan I have entered into a couple of festivals for now. I am hoping to get some feedback to help me polish it into something special. My hope is to find a producer that sees it's potential and will want to bring it to life.

Amy Ward that is fantastic that you are embarking on this new journey. After 3 kids, you'll have endless sources of material or characters to write. Dystopian series sounds like a winning escape to me. You have a lot of options. There is also no law that says you have to stick with one. :) Go get 'em.
