Hi everyone! In support of ALL writers during the WGA strike, we are offering everyone here a free month of the Writers' Room for new members.
We've heard from so many writers who are, understandably, finding it hard to stay motivated during this time. We want to make sure you're staying inspired and in the know.
With your free subscription, you'll get all the perks and benefits of being a member including
-The ability to submit to all open writing assignments (more below)
-Access to ALL live webcasts and workshops taught by industry professionals
-Access to our ENTIRE WR workshop library of over 250 webinars and workshops to watch on demand at your convenience
-Access to ALL pitch practice sessions to help you hone your scripts
-First looks at all education and pitching opportunities
-Access to a community of thousands of like-minded screenwriters in a supportive setting
-Access to the private Writers' Room lounge visited by our executives
-Deep discounts on Stage 32 services including screenwriting contests, coverage, consulting
-Much more
As for our exclusive open writing assignments, Stage 32 stands with the WGA. In accordance, all screenplays that are accepted for open writing assignments will have their scripts delivered after the strike ends. If a manager requests your script now, we will deliver the script as you are allowed to seek representation during the strike.
We've had 17 writers have requests in the last week. Congratulations to all of them!
New open writing assignments are introduced every 2 weeks and are exclusive to Stage 32 and members of the Writers Room. Current open writing assignments include:
-Producer Reading Western Features
-Producer Reading War Features
-Producer Reading Low Budget Sci-Fi Features
-Producer Reading Adventure Features
-Manager Reading Action Features
-Manager Reading Thriller Features
If that wasn't enough, this month we have the legendary Howard Deutch coming in for a workshop this month. Howard directed classics such as PRETTY IN PINK, THE GREAT OUTDOORS, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, and THE REPLACEMENTS before transitioning to an in demand television director of such shows as EMPIRE, YOUNG SHELDON, THE STRAIN, JANE THE VIRGIN and many more. Howard will be talking feature and TV writing, the writer/director relationship and much more. This webcast is also available to you with your FREE month.
Over 15,000 screenwriters have joined the Writers' Room and we'd love to have you involved with this vibrant community so you can stay inspired, motivated and productive during the strike and have yourself in a position to win once the gates open again.
You can get your free month here https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip
And, as always, if you ever have any questions about the WR or any of the screenwriting services we offer, just email us at success@stage32.com
