The Stage 32 Videos: Nepal

Official Teaser Trailer "I'm Home"

6 months after the earthquakes in Nepal in 2015 that left 600,000 people homeless and 9,000 dead, the journalists stopped reporting, the Nepalese government was unable to handle the huge devastation and I, a Swedish mountaineer, went to Nepal to find the real heroes in this catastrophe - local and international philanthropists who believe that one can perform miracles with very limited resources and to rebuild the "roof of the earth". What I found was something amazing, these people do not look back and cave into the past, and that helping others is as natural as the air we breathe and a true path to happiness. This documentary explores how solidarity and brotherhood are created when disasters occur and Fredrik Sträng returns to Nepal to interview the same people from Nepal's earthquake disaster, about five years after the incident. Has togetherness, kindness and solidarity continued to flourish or has time faded and life has returned to business-as-usual? This documentary explores the concept of whether we need to be reminded from time to time of disasters to safeguard solidarity.
