Good morning! I am a former Peace Corps volunteer, community organizer, outdoor educator, and successful writer/producer of low-brow, but largely successful television shows ("Walker, Texas Ranger," "Sons of Thunder," "Baywatch Hawaii"). I stepped away from the Business after the birth of my twin daughters to go to law school and have been practicing law for 7 years (5 time recipient of the Southern California Rising Stars award recognizing the top young attorneys in Southern California), but left my firm in May to go back to pursuing the dream. I'm genuinely grateful for the opportunity to connect with other creative people and I look forward to working with some of you down the road.

Great meeting you! I'm a former reporter, copy editor and proofreader who made his way west last year to pursue my two entertainment interests -- film history research (I've run the classic Hollywood blog Carole & Co., http://carole-and-co.livejournal.com/, since June 2007) and screenwriting (recently completing my first romantic comedy feature and working on a second). Keep creating!

Bob, Sounds like you have a lot of talent in both fields. Just getting into this crazy business with my first screen play. The script is in rewrite as I've made some changes but the concept is posted at moments-site.info is you like to view it.

Clark, My guess is it has less to do with talent than it does with luck and keeping my butt in the chair...Welcome to the Business. And crazy doesn't come close to describing it these days. Good luck and all best, Bob.
Sounds like you have had one very cool ride, Bob. And probably some terrific stories to tell as well. Let me know if you'd like to guest blog one day. I'd be happy to hook you up with Shannon and get that rolling if you have some interest. Have a great Sunday.

Thanks, Andrew. Yeah, once you've been bitten by the bug, it's pretty hard to get rid of it. Like vampirism.
Very much look forward to it, Bob. Have a terrific week as well!

Hello and welcome, Bob! Thanks for your Peace Corps service. Best wishes to you, on your film pursuit.
Thanks, Eric. Much appreciated!
Bob, congrats on your work, your daughters, and connecting with the dream again. Wishing you the best.
Thanks for the kind words, Sky. Have a great week!
That's fantastic. Have fun with your unique form of vampirism!
Welcome, Bob. If we give up our passion (or dream as you say) we die. Cheers, brother from NYC.
Thanks, Sean. I definitely will.
Phil, Congrats on your big move and on pursuing your dream. I definitely hope our paths cross.
Jorge, And it is an excruciatingly slow and painful death. So we have no real choice in the matter. Cheers back atcha from a former New Yorker.
Hi Bob and welcome. There is nothing more beautiful than try to achieve our dreams, I wish you all the best :) ( Walker Texas Ranger is still today one of my fav tv shows)
Annaluisa, Thanks for the kind words. And I agree. Our dreams are what make it worthwhile to get out of bed in the morning. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks, Alle. It definitely seems to have tapped into something for a lot of people all over the world. Chuck and the writers had great respect for our viewers and tried really hard to deliver shows that they would enjoy.

I can relate with you Bob, not on your level, but "the dream never leaves you", so after getting the kids thru college, (but not out the house ;) and in careers, my creative brain again took command over my technical side, (I.T. 15 yrs), and the chase is on! Welcome...
Welcome! =)
Hey Bob! Welcome back. You can never get rid of the "bug"! Bob are you offering entertainment law services or will you be focusing more on producing? Would love to talk shop! www.mistersifuentes.com
W.? Keith? Welcome to the chase...and congrats on getting the kids through college...that's going to be a whole 'nother adventure for us. Have a great week and all best.
Thanks, Terri!
Mr. Sifuentes, No entertainment law services for me...Actually focusing on writing. That's my real passion -- though more and more, that seems to involve producing, as well. And I would love to connect and "talk shop." I'll check out your website soon.
Watched your stuff in early childhood
Cool. I wrote it in late childhood. ;-)
Hi-- i understand how u feel, when u love the arts its hard to stay away. I am a bilingual actress of film and stage-- have done commercials, modeling and V. O. -- my dream is to perform in a Hollywood movie even if its a small part. Wish me good luck! I wish u all the best!!
Hi Bob Welcome back to ur dream Sounds like you have all the "necessary " to fall right back in I wish you much luck in ur endeavors and look forward to seeing you right back up there Lauren
Hey Bob, You've written for a number of shows...ever written about the other aspect of your life, the Peace Corp & the outdoors? I've got a ministry background and would love to see more stories (and be in them) about folks who make a difference in the world! Comedies work too, remember "volunteers" with Tom Hanks? Good Luck!
Maria, Thanks for the good wishes and right back atcha. Hopefully, the rest of the business will catch up with David Simon and create projects that reflect all of the colors and flavors of the American experience -- including Spanish people speaking Spanish. So keep following the dream.
Lauren, thanks for the kind words. They really resonated. Have a wonderful week and weekend.
Michael, I have woven the outdoor education background into a couple of projects. I have had Peace Corps idea percolating for years, but it never seemed to work in the traditional let's drag this out as long as we can television business model. But now that we are seeing more "limited run" and anthology projects finding success, I have revisited it. And I agree that people doing good work in often difficult and dangerous settings is a fertile ground for drama.
