Greetings Everybody, My name is Dawn and I am a playwright, so I'm not sure I even belong here (lol) but I would never turn down an invitation, especially one that offers me the opportunity to be a part of a community such as Stage 32. It's taken me quite a long time to post this introduction because I'm an intensely private person and I'll tell you a short story to illustrate this- when my Mother was expecting me, she went to the doctor to get a sonogram and when the time came up for my Mother to find out the sex of her unborn child (me), the doctor, with some confusion said "Well, I can tell you this. He or she is going to be a very private person". Apparently, I'd had my legs closed the entire time, so the doctor could not tell what I was going to be. I am grateful for the invitation and I look forward to learning from and participating in this community. Also, thanks to RB and the Stage32 staff for creating a space for creative people like me who don't fit into the Facebook or LinkedIn mode.

The point is you're in the right place. I understand being a private person even though I tweet random shit (twitter) but not when it comes to your craft and what you hope to accomplish x Welcome to the Stage 32 family! Hi Dawn it's great to have another "private" person on board, LOL this site Is the first time I've ever participated on the net. Later on in the year I will be publishing a Domain and showreels, but this is only to showcase the actors in my shorts. I enjoy a behind scenes kind of life. Welcome.

Welcome to the site Dawn and I this is something the incomparable Barry Manilow has always said "misfits can't be misfits among other misfits" and that is so true here, it's great having such a diverse community where everyone's genres are respected and not frowned upon, this is a great place to be, so feel free to ask anything you like and to present anything you like to your fellow Stage 32-ers :)

Welcome, Dawn! I wondered that same thing, myself. I'm a writer who is working on a book about silent film stars, and I've been part of the development of a potential TV series for a while now. Once upon a time I had a theatre background, but it's been a long time. But, like Rosalind said, "misfits can't be misfits among other misfits." :)
