Black Boy/Girl Writes

I love to tell Southern tales that happen just south of somebody's God. I love that someone at Stage 32 listened. Feeling like a pretty marvelous 2nd rounder!

Seth Paradox

I am curious: what does "south of somebody's God" mean? It is evocative!

Kendra Christel

@Seth lol I do like the word "evocative". Basically, it means my stories always touch on a religion of some sort that isn't always my own, but is definitely exists under somebody's God, somewherein the world. Being "just South of" means the story isn't necessarily about religion, but religion plays a role in how my characters react or the world they know, and it's sometimes the not-so-pretty parts of it.

Seth Paradox

Kendra Christel that sounds rich and wonder-filled -- albeit, as you say with warts and all -- and I am looking forward to seeing what you do with your evocative writing. Thank you for that explanation!

Suzanne Moreau
