Jin, if you want TRUE FEEDBACK, then I would be happy to oblige. But, not here for public consumption. That wouldn't be right or constructive. Friend me and message me and I will give you my thoughts.
I ain't buyin' a ticket to see that.
Sam and Dan thank you. And Doug, it is ok. Everyone has their own likes.
Just checking in. I am a newcomer to the world of screenwriting. I have several projects started and hope to finish one shortly and see where it lands.
Good luck. I hope that you can finish one soon, and get it produced.
Hello. And welcome. Push hard and get them done. And good luck on getting them produced.
Good luck Dave! You sound like me with the "several projects" problem. Take the one you love the most and just power through and finish it. It's a great feeling! (Trust me! lol)
Thank you all for the encouraging words. Sorry, I don't get on Stage 32 as often as I should. What a great resource and friendly community.

Nevertheless, this has been an exciting 6 months. I was the PAGE Gold Prize Winner 2016 for Family Film. No options yet but the script is being circulated (one pass so far).
I have been writing on and off for a decade but began to seriously hone my craft a couple of years ago. My third script made the top 5% at Nicholl in 2015 so I took this as a sign to continue. I took a year off from that particular script to really digest the 3 positive reads. I've entered again this year, fingers crossed. I figure if I get at least three feathers in my cap someone's GOTTA rep me!
I am thrilled to have found Stage 32 and look forward to the positive energy and encouragement that we all need in this journey.
Congrats! :)
Thanks, everyone. It's also nice to score one for the gals, lol!
Amen, Sistah!
Good job!
Welcome Thuy!
Hey friends! I hear the most critical assessment of any script, is the first ten pages... So each day I will upload a page. Just tell me know what you think? Cool?
That's a great response Judy Bednarek

If your work is really good - no one is going to steal it. If it's good, it's a whole lot less risky/expensive to just buy it from you - to do with whatever they like. Professionals are not greedy; they understand the risk (and expenses) associated with theft of creative work.
Leontist, if youre looking to see if youre on the right path and will grab readers/execs attention, i do a First Act Consult over at No BullScript that isnt costly but can save you lots of time before you write the whole script. feel free to msg me!

Expand commentWhen asking for people to read your script ask them quality questions that will help you sort out your next rewrite. I make a list of 5-10 questions to close friends of mine as I have a network from when I graduated the New School for Screenwriting. Anyone can say "That was great," which gives you zero the hero feedback whatsoever. It's like a professional body builder and the guy who goes to the gym everyday. They can both look in amazing shape, but the guy with the IFB Pro Card is the guy whose truly in the game. To get your chops down you have to play up and I would say take Danny "The Main Vein" Manus on his offer that way you are in better hands when you cough for the nurse on your next rewrite. Hope that helps! Now, turn the other way and cough. YEAH!

I love movies. I grew up with them. Now I know many people here can say the same. But when you are in the mountains with two TV channels, this was before net-TV, when you had the rabbit ears on the TV. Remember those rabbit ears, ah the good ole days. Anyways, my escape from the daily life of the mountains were VHS movies and later DVDs. They brought so much of the world to life and all at the push of the play button. Now I am hoping to bring more worlds to life with my stories. Thank you.
Welcome Jin!
Welcome Jin!
