Two castings for a stage play revival of Alan Ayckbourn's 'Time of My Life' at the Tabard Theatre in Chiswick for a four week run from 3rd March 2015. This is a Fringe Production directed by Law Ballard. She will using Meisner technique in the rehearsal process. There is a guarantee of a 600 pound overall fee with a possible small profit share on top. Rehearsals will begin on 27th January 2015 and there will be a few odd days of character study and background improvisation work required in December and January as well. Applicants should research the play and the characters for the audition, which will be on Wednesday 29th October in Central London. Alan Ayckbourn's website is a useful resource. Waiter - Male 23 - 50 The part of five waiters are intentionally played by just one actor for effect. The setting is a foreign restaurant(Greek or Italien) and the actor must be able to adapt his accent and physicality to create 5 very different characters including an old man in his 70s. The accents need to be a blend of foreign accents with an overtone of Yorkshire. The waiters play a continual part in the play and good stagecraft as well as previous stage experience is essential as is an ability to be in the moment. The actor may also be required to understudy for one of the other male roles in the play. He works in his father's building firm, is confident at times, but also vulnerable and sensitive at times. Hello, everyone. My name is Kris Jones. I currently work in the motion picture industry as a set dresser & properties master. My background is art direction and production design. I attended film school at Valencia CC in Orlando, FL (Class of 2002.) In the recent past I have also worked in the areas of set painter, locations assistant and greens crew on the Warner Brothers / Legendary Pictures film, '42': The Jackie Robinson Story (Summer 2012). Lastly, I did a short stint as swing gang on the television series "Hoarders" in the fall of 2012. During training, I was selected to attend the CDS workshop at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon. I met the head of casting, Hannah Miller, and worked with directors Lyn Darnley and Alison Sutcliffe. The workshop also included an extremely inspiring verse and voice session with Cecily Berry. My time at Drama Studio London also included a year's worth of screen acting experience and training with directors such as David Tucker (Lark Rise to Candleford, Miss Marple, A Year in Provence), Jo Johnson (The Bill, Eastenders), Baz Taylor (My Familly, Midsomer Murders) and Laurence Moody (Coronation Street, Casualty). Since graduating I have been involved in several theatre and film productions including a tour of major regional and national theatres in Germany but also work on Secret Cinema's last show in the Old Vic Tunnels, a Rattigan at Pentameters Theatre, Peer Gynt in Ibsen's classic epic at Riverside Studios, and I have just played Samuel in Gilbert and Sullivan's well-loved operetta: 'The Pirates of Penzance'.
