I was recently given an invite to a new service called script-hop, which was developed by:
Brian Austin, Scott Foster, Jory Weitz, and Maggie Palmer. Board of advisors range from Untitled Management's Jason Newman, to Writers Guild of America's Hilliard Guess.
www.scripthop.com is a free service, and an innovative place to host your developing screenplay/lookbook/treatment etc. I receive 5 invitation codes to give away every Friday, so I'd like to offer them to Stage32 members as quickly as I get them. I believe in paying it forward.
If interested, please reply here. If anyone has a better way of distributing codes, please let me know. I do not believe in subjecting members to email list gathering, to have unsolicited content blasted to your inboxes etc. I just want to share my joy.

I reckon this is going to blow up if only because of the sheer weight of the PR machine behind it. Just look at how fast CoverFly has grown in a couple of years despite all the controversy. We’re over 7,250 members strong on Script Revolution on nothing but word of mouth. What really interests me is how focused it is on character profiles for when your script gets in front of actors. Lots of stuff on creating bios that sell you and passionate statements on the motivation behind writing a script. This is all stuff I strongly support but with this neat looking Packet system rather than sharing pdfs.
I say the more free exposure/networking options the better. You know I'll stand up against anything I feel is predatory but this easily passes the sniff test for me because they want to monetise the tools and not the submissions. Let's get people away from the often shoddy competition/evaluation casino mindset and toward more efficient alignment systems.

I was reading about ScriptHop in a Final Draft column recently. There are legit people and companies behind it so why is there a limited invitation thing? It makes it appear very sketchy in my mind, even if it isn't. Why wouldn't everyone just go straight to the site and sign up for free?

Hey, CJ Walley - I was initially put off the apparent "invite only" aspect (see Pierre Langenegger's comment), but if you're convinced enough that they're legit to work with them, I'll reserve judgement. Keep me posted, please.
The invite form of releasing a platform is pretty common now. We are literally talking about this because someone is offering codes. I only know this because I'm invested in a stock market app that's doing the same.

So I bit off more than I can chew...I did not expect much of a response, especially with only 5 codes. I am embarrassed to say, I am already out. Twenty minutes into this and my mind is blown. This changes everything. I don't have any codes to share due to how I got my account but will have a full review and guide up soon.
Based on what I'm seeing now, everyone is going to have to up their game if they want to remain competitive.

You can now add ScriptHop packet links to Script Revolution listings. All approved by them. Adds a button under the usual pdf download link which sends you to the packet. You can track the hit statistics their side. Great people to deal with.
