That is how it is done.

I'm also a writer/director/producer. I've found that the best way to put a 'team' together is to actually produce stuff, work with people (get them by referral usually) and find the ones that are "gold" to you -- the ones that you absolutely LOVE working with and don't want to work without because they do excellent work, work hard, and are fun to work with. Those people become your team. At least, that's how I've done it.

You should have a screenwriter who will take your ideas and turn them into gold. Or at least make them look great on the page.

Working with a team as you've described sounds like the right way to do it. I've been lucky enough to work with a close knit team on my last two features and other projects and it makes all the difference. Good luck with it all Armando.

I desire so much to work with international producers and screenwriters, because there are peculiar African stories that need telling ; from the Niger Delta Region, where I come live. Pictures: the media in my home state, Akwa Ibom State is not reporting the increasing legion of unemployed youths. Most spend time drinking illicit alcohol, smoking weed or prostituting despite enormous opportunities endowed us by Nature.
