Sye Muhammad

Great landscape footage

Gary Gibbons

Good job!

Darrin Smith

What's it about? What camera did you use? What was the editing software and color correction software used? Just curious?

Amit Mehra

Thank you everyone for your kind feedback :)

Amit Mehra

Ekanth which means isolation in Indian language Hindi, is a suspense/mystery drama that explores the reality of how modern lives across geo/social scape are becoming isolated despite being surrounded by the ever increasing sea of humans.

Amit Mehra

Set in the small town of Bhopal in the middle of India, EKANTH is the story of a senior corporate executive, who one day suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances. As the cops launch a city wide man hunt, people close to him, family, friends and colleagues start realizing that they knew so little about him.

Carol'Ann Tappaz Aka Divalia

Sounds interesting, intriguing for sure. I love the music:-) Best of luck!

Gary Craig

This is GREAT. A trailer by sheer definition of what it's supposed to accomplish is draw you in, and make you want to see the film. I want to see the film! Great use of opening music with very little dialogue. Beautifully shot. What camera are you using?

Amit Mehra

Thank you Carol. The music we got composed is known as Dhrupad, an Indian classical form of music.

Amit Mehra

Thank you Gary. We shot this on Canon 5D Mark2. :)

Amit Mehra

Would be great if you guys can write your feedback on the youtube page for others to see. Thanks. Cheers! :)

Eleni Giokari

GREAT I wish you all the Best

Amit Mehra

Thank you Helen :)

Joel Yagual

Best of luck!

Shabazz Ray

Footage looks great! I'd say add a little text so we know what's going on.

Les Petersen

First I watched this without sound. Visually it hints at your story, but not at the world which you suggest in the opening graphics - as a viewer, it never feel like I was on an island, and I had to read these comments to see what it was really about. Actors do a good job (loved the guy looking over his shoulder in the jeep), and the cinematography looks great. Not too sure about the color - it's almost too saturated. I felt the whole thing needed a bit more building tension/pace/threat and maybe a shot of the ocean to suggest the relentlessness of the 'tide'. Then I watched it with sound. Very good. Great ambience. Yes, I'd watch the movie.

Jack Calvert

Looks fantastic. Beautifully shot. Great cast, too, very expressive. Even without dialogue, they are totally in the moment. This is a movie I would see.

Kenneth Scrues

I was wondering what direction you were taking me with the visuals. That is a good thing except The premise of the movie was missing.

Tamir Yardenne

looks great!

Katherine Siegmeth

Great Job!

Tony Angelo

interesting

Amit Mehra

@Shabazz @Corianna - thank you. The second trailer will have a voice over to take care of that. This is the first teaser, more to pull you into the atmosphere.

Amit Mehra

@Les - Thank you for your feedback. I do need to work a bit more on the colour correction. Hopefully rest of the issues will be taken care of with the voice over in the second trailer and some more intriguing shots.

Amit Mehra

@Jack @Kenneth @Tamir @Katherine @Tony - thank you for your encouraging and kind words and Kenneth the premise will come through in the next trailer. This was a teaser trailer. Cheers!

Amit Mehra

@Corianna - hi, we shot this film on Canon 5D Mark2

Bonnie Loev

Hello Amit. Thank you for your network request. I LOVE the trailer! I thought you created an intriguing atmosphere with your locations and shot choices. I also thought the acting was terrific. You also made a wonderful choice with the music that helped enhance the tone. I will also post some comments on YouTube this afternoon. I would be pleased and honored to see this film!!!

Nicole Kim Phillips

The music will be familiar to some depending on their culture and background. The sound immediately resonate a sort of a disconnect from the norm of today's Hip-Pop Music. However, there are similarities to Kanye's Power song which contains a noticeable cant in the hook. It's also like Rapper Eve's Eve song featuring Miss Kitty. There should probably be more variety in the cast from a cultural standpoint but it's not really anything different from many of the films created today. Still, diversity is necessary, if you intend to draw in more than a segmented group of fans. From a creative standpoint it seems like a film that is about relationships between people, one that also somehow involves law enforcement. The important thing is to follow your gut. Then, you can't go wrong. It's really about what feels right to you creatively.

Amit Mehra

Thank you Bonnie and Nicole. :)

Thank you Felix. :)

Lianne K. Coleman

Please watch this film, everyone. Thanks once again for sharing your film with me. I watched it twice so far and took away something from it each time. I thought it was an excellent film dealing with marriage, loyalty of friendship and complexities of the mind. The use of the music throughout the film was a clever idea, it set the tone by providing a sense of urgency. But it also had a haunting-like quality that was felt throughout. The cinematography was excellent, it had the island feel to it that you were trying to convey. You were also able to feel the conflict that Akshay was so obviously dealing with. My favorite character was Aunty, she was just what an Aunty should be like, she was almost comical had the the situation not been so serious. All the actors were really good, believable. All in All, it was a job well done, Amit and I am now anxious to see all of your films. Thanks again, Lianne Coleman from Stage 32.

Beka I Am

I think I watched it before Amit....I like it, definitely engages you to want to see it. Love the poster and the music you chose for it!

David Navarro

I feel like I watched a series of reactions to a question I didn't understand in a trailer that didn't make any sense.

Beka I Am

I kind of like when a trailer doesn't tell the whole darn flick. The music set the mood for me and wonder of reactions and the why's is what would make me curious to see it

Nafisa Ford

Very nice, whenever I watch trailers I watch the first time without sound just to see if I will connect with the mood of the film and I was definitely caught up in it. Then the second time when I watched with sound I can say that it was definitely worth the second viewing. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to seeing the finished product.

David Navarro

Well first off, the filmmaker asked for feedback of which I gave... If the filmmaker would like me to elaborate on my comment, I would by more than happy to do so, but if someone other than the filmmaker needs to tell me what the movie is about after watching the trailer... "The Trailer" did not do it's job. Is this story a drama-horror-comedy-sci-fi-thriller? Additionally, if this trailer "plays to the senses" then it should at least make sense. And yes I also don't like it when a trailer lays out the whole story for me but least I get the sense that there is a story. Lastly, I firmly stand by what I said but I'll elaborate for those that are unable to understand feedback --This trailer is just a bunch of actors reacting to a question I didn't understand -- it wasn't in english nor was it subtitled. It looked like what Joey on "Friends" would call "SMELL THE FART ACTING" The trailer did not inform my as to the type of story we were about to embark on nor did it inform me as to what the story was about. Tie all these together and it didn't make any sense! Oh and the music doesn't make the story well unless it is a musical. It was loud and distracting. It should be part of the visuals and not fighting for attention. I can go on and on -- but I'm bored with this now.

Nafisa Ford

David, sorry that you felt a need to explain. Your comment seemed straight forward to me. That is the thing about film, as in any other art it touches or not people differently and is made to get a reaction of some sort. Yours was honest and should be taken as such.

Haqi Ali

thank you for the link to the full film which i enjoyed watching very well shot and very well acted. And does grab you till the end. I look forward to more film by you.

Amit Mehra

@ Lianne, RA, Beka, Nafisa, Jacqueline, Haqi - Thank you so much for your kind feedback :)
