Emily Skye here- shewolffilms- I’m a writer | Director | DOP, been a member since 2016. This is a wonderful community and I love that we can connect on a platform dedicated to helping us learn and grow. I wanted to share my latest short film trailer “River” with you all. We filmed this in May 16/17 2020 after the ban lifted in NC. I was tested for Covid and so was my small team before we stepped foot on set, which was my lead actresses backyard. It was a new experience for sure with all the safety protocols we followed, but it’s so worth being safe during this time. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and would love to connect with you :)

When I DP'd a short last year (12:10 to Bridge), I kind of forgot that I know how to run a camera (due to my training in film school), and all too often I give that power over to someone else. Sure, sometimes they can do it better, but I also know that I get better with practice, and I can already see that improvement. How do you decide when to run camera and when not to? From your IG posts, you seem to like to CamOp too much to let someone else do it! LOL!
