Deep - Miguel Dario
My work stems from intuition rather than argument. I'm drawn to the space where the image ceases to be a vehicle for narrative and becomes a direct, almost physical experience. In Deep I explore that threshold: depth not as metaphor, but as sensation, as a descent into the indeterminate. For me, cinema is a way of breathing with the eyes. I’m not trying to explain, but to provoke an inner resonance, a pause. Gesture, texture, sound — all exist to suggest a state, not a story. I work with minimal materials and structures because within that limitation I find the freedom of what is essential: the vibration of the image, the echo of time, the emotion that needs no words. I’m interested in engaging with those who see cinema as a sensory laboratory, a space where the visual becomes thought. Deep is a small piece along that path: an attempt to capture the invisible that’s felt between one image and the next.
