TV Broadcasters won't accept upscaled video as HD. if its a documentary and has archived footage then you have a case to argue but even then the archive footage cannot compromise more than 20% of the programme.

Through trial and error I have yet to find software that converts SD to HD well. Some do an okay job faking it, but there just isn't enough information in SD footage to up-convert to HD. And in my experience, Elisar is correct - a TV broadcaster looking for HD will not accept SD video masquerading as HD. That said you should look at hardware like the RH10UC

got it... thx for all your comments & imput! just trying to perhaps salvage years of awesome footage we have archived from our travels...mainly beauty b-roll we cannot re-create - btw I deal with major nets exec's & master control engineer's every week & they prefer not to, but "do" take well executed & well produced content upgrading of SD to HD- now if the content was "poor" in SD it will still be "poor" in HD ;) just want to make sure a "newbie" reading this post would not be mis-lead by an incorrect comment :)

Just trying to get this music video out to as many people,schools,special children needs programs and children organizations as possible to encourage adoption and help abused and neglected kids. Being a composer, you know that music is healing especially when kids are encouraged to sing or play an instrument. Appreciate any help you can give. Sounds as gorgeous as I picture it, but all my body hear's is, snow. I get shivers thinking about it. I lived for about ten years in the two mile high mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado, on the Western slope of Pike's Peak. The view at sunset, looking West, from above the clouds, with the Collegiate summits, and San Rey de Cristos poking through, is a view permanently etched in my mind like no other. And yet every time I think about it, I shiver. Maybe that accounts for why I tend to write stories based in warmer climates. And just tossing this out into your ether. What if aliens landed and they all talked like Leslie Nielsen. They're dead pan serious, but we can't keep laughing at them. Would they consider it an insult?

Guys let's all get together at a meeting and get the best of what we have going. We will all listen to the stories we have now written and decide what one we want to do now. If we are all doing one project who needs money to produce a promo of it. Just all get-together and all decide what project we want that we have or one that we can all have input in and get it going on. And let's get it going on now no waiting till doomsday to come!

Thank you all for the kind words and support! To answer a few of the questions that came up: Over the past four years, I primarily used Coverfly as my platform of choice while writing. I appreciated their digital “Library” system, which served as a convenient and organized space to store all of my work. I also valued how they vetted the competitions they partnered with—many of which led to real opportunities and tangible success. I’m not saying this platform doesn’t offer similar benefits, Coverfly’s overall structure and ease of use made it a comfortable home for my projects.

Now that Coverfly is shutting down and many writers are transitioning to new platforms, Stage 32 felt like a natural next step. The ability to carry over my achievements and years of hard work made the transition smooth and encouraging.

I also have to admit—I forgot how incredible this community is. As an introvert, I’ve always found comfort in locking myself away to write and develop stories. But it’s also vital to connect with other writers/creatives—whether it’s discussing recent films, breaking down scenes, or simply supporting each other through the creative process.

I’m genuinely looking forward to engaging more in these forums and being part of the conversation again.

Hi I agree after New Year may be better, people now seem to be prematurely caught up in the whirlwind, of this force fed holiday season. It starts months ahead, trepidation and fervour in the advertising world, and other activities are put on hold. Personally I would have a meet up during Xmas/new year holiday season, but I doubt many others will.

Especially in our first few months abroad, we think we'll be going back-and-forth quite a few times (if only to pick up the things we'll leave in Belgium in the early stages of moving) so let's plan for the new year!

Thank You so much everyone for all of your suggestions. Till now I've only read Save The Cat, but I felt it focused more on the 'selling' part of the development process. Guess I've got a lot of reading to do :)
