About the meetup
Thank you for your RSVP to tonight's screening of Bigelow's NEAR DARK at LA Film School (6363 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028).
Doors will open at 6PM for networking. The films start at 8PM. We are expecting a full house so please arrive early to claim your seat. (Also, that free pizza is first come first served.)

8PM: Seeking Our Story film club celebrating the work of director Kathryn Bigelow! This screening is presented free of charge and will be hosted by blogger Lauren C Byrd.
Bigelow's genre-bending third feature film, NEAR DARK follows a midwestern youth lured by an attractive drifter who introduces him to a tribe of nomadic vampires. Released in 1987 this American-Vampire-Western-
Before the feature, we'll have a special presentation from Etheria Film Night with short film ZONE 2, written by Lydia Mulvey, directed by Anna Elizabeth James, produced by Miranda Sajdak and Sandra Leviton.
After the screening, join us across the street at Stella Barra Hollywood for drinks and continued conversation.
About the group
Seeking Our Story screens historic films directed by women. Each month we highlight a different director in our Los Angeles based film club. We recently joined the Rack Focus initiative at the American Cinematheque in Hollywood and now present screenings through their historic Egyptian Theatre and the Santa Monica Aero theater.
