Hello, I’m a relative novice to scriptwriting and have limited experience, I also live in the UK and most people on here seem to be from the USA, I’m wandering if maybe I’m not qualified both in terms of experience and geography to join this community.

It's a great place to network and learn from others. You will find lots of resources here and lots of people who will point you to the right directions on your path.

My understanding is that Stage32 is open to everyone, no experience required. I think there are members from all over the world. The more the better. I think only desire and enthusiasm are required.

Recently a producer I pitched to in the UK asked for the full script. I'm in the US so that shouldn't be a problem for you. As for inexperience just start writing and keep going. You'll be fine.

You must be around writers to learn. Earth is a good place to start. The UK is good. Not Hollywood, better in my opinion. Not as much money, but more of an indie feel.
I have sold in that market. Remember Europe is just an hour away. We had a production from the UK look at Croatia as a location. UK is great never under sell it.

Nearly ten years ago, I was a novice in the UK. This weekend, we wrapped principal on my third feature which I co-produced with my producing partners based in the USA. I was planting flowers in my local war memorial in the rain here in the Staffordshire Moorlands while they were shooting bikini clad models in a penthouse pool in Vegas.
Hell, I got to visit the Stage 32 offices when I was in LA for my first film and I regularly see RB and Amanda when they visit the UK. Plus, dig this, a member of the Stage 32 team, Karen "Kay" Ross, has been a key player in the last two films I wrote and produced.
It's a long and arduous journey into the world of film made harder by location and a lack of contacts but it's certainly a worthwhile one. Stage 32 itself is very much open to all, regardless of location and background, so welcome to the community. Hope you stick around.

I'm in the UK (not too far from where CJ Walley is) and joined Stage 32 several months back, after making a commitment to myself that this was the year I'd really start developing my screenwriting craft.
I've found the community here to be very supportive and active, with a wide range of folks from different backgrounds, offering different insights and experiences. I'd also say that, unlike some communities I've visited, the overwhelming majority of people here are courteous and respectful, even when they disagree.
I've also taken advantage of S32's coverage service and the notes I've received have been far superior to anything I've received elsewhere. They gave me actionable advice that I've been able to use across scripts, not just what was in front of them.

@Christopher This is the very place to learn so no one can have limited experience and since zoom has taken off nobody has to be anywhere. Good luck here!

Hi, Christopher. Geography doesn't matter when using Stage 32. On Stage 32, you can talk with people in your country and people all over the world. Experience doesn't matter to use this platform.
Since you're a new screenwriter, you can learn a lot by checking out the blogs up here.
