He's thousand's of years old, so 120 years a blip - and yes, he is very thirsty. He's in hiding as he is the only person who knows where his wife is located. They are the last of their clan. A rival clan seeks to destroy them. Also, it doesn't use traditional vampire tropes. I.e, he can't turn into a bat and fly away and sunlight isn't a problem. When the prison updated it's records from paper to computerized - a typo wiped off the first 80 years of his stay.

But... none of that is in the logline. Lol! Even without some of the classic tropes, the whole vampire thing still seems problematic in that prison setting—needing blood, presumed strength, speed, the knack for violence, not aging, hiding as a prisoner and hiding that he's supernatural, etc—just saying. A simple typo hides his stay? But... that doesn't seem plausible, especially if it's been 80 years? Who remains in prison for 80 years without aging and without raising the suspicions of those mere mortals around him during all that time? Maybe the vampire altered his records? Uses hypnotism, I dunno? Lol! Sorry, I'm not trying to give you a hard time, really. I've always loved vampire stories so I'm very familiar with most. Anyhoo, if the vampire is the protagonist and not the patrol officer then perhaps make it not so much about the prison in the logline and more about his overall goal. There's certainly something intriguing here, Vic. Again, good luck with it!
