Character-driven drama lives or dies by emotional inevitability. If the secrets in your story don’t just reveal the past but actively reshape the present choices of the characters, you’re already in strong territory.

Producers often look less at themes and more at tension — what forces confrontation? What can’t stay buried?

I’d suggest, as a next step, completing either a full script or a strong project bible. As a new writer, having a finished screenplay or a detailed bible with character arcs, themes, and structure will make it much easier for producers to evaluate and engage with the project.
