Confronting the Living History of the Civil Rights Struggle

It was an honor to be selected to compose original music for this very important documentary piece covering the struggle for Civil Rights, and focus on the horrific lynching of Emmett Till. I implore all of you to watch and make efforts to learn more about this often unacknowledged part of American history. I did my best to compose a score that offers a reflective, honest, and emotional connection for viewers to take in all that is being explained by a former sharecropper to young students getting a glimpse of what life was like for many African Americans in the south during that time
