And sometimes I post short pitches (like two-word pitches and three-word pitches) on social media.

And you’re absolutely right — child trafficking and the global patterns of official corruption that allow this horrific crime to continue must be spoken about. Not in anger or condemnation, but through light, humanity, and a shared sense of responsibility to protect all children, grounded in truth.

My own story is similar in theme to Sound of Freedom and Tim Ballard’s work, though grittier, darker, and more graphic — and done with far fewer resources and a lot less money, admittedly. Haha

Amanda Tooney I did manage to save more than one life over the course of the 3 yrs I opened a rescue shelter and repatriated many children I rescued against the offical corruption and did this with no help or assistance from offical sources. The story really ends on i didnt save african children I saved myself its written from a higher soul perspective recognising & untangling past life soul contracts, karmic relationships and my souls growth

Petra Jurasova, I didn’t write this from a victim-led perspective, nor as a critical attack or a blame game. It’s about how I transmuted anger and righteous fury into light — releasing negativity, letting go of my own limiting beliefs, and choosing to see things from a different perspective. I’ve woven in my Yorkshire humour along the way to keep it human, grounded, and real.

Tamara Green, absolutely; entrepreneurship has shaped so much of how I navigate filmmaking, from decision‑making to collaboration to building projects from the ground up. Right now, my biggest goal is to package The Misstep, my POC short film currently on the festival circuit and continue developing it into the feature I intend to direct. That’s where my focus and energy are going at the moment.

Lovely introduction, Tamara. Your background really shows in the way you think about story and craftsmanship — it’s inspiring. I love your focus on character-driven work with deep replay value, especially drawing from Frank Capra’s spirit of hope and humanity. That kind of timeless storytelling is always needed.

Profit is the engine that fuels the world. I think that the previous 2500+ years of resource consumption points towards the idea that when AI created art is more profitable than human created art then the tipping point will have arrived. Society (as you reference) CAN alter the resource consumption approach but I tend to be pessimistic that it will materialize in any significant way.

Hopefully it doesn't become that. We shall see. That being said, as per my example of all other technological advancements in our industry over the past hundred that were major disrupters, we found a way to continue and evolve. Don't get me wrong, we also lost amazing artistic expressions along the way in most of these, but new artistic expressions formed. We're in the wild west at the moment when it comes to AI. It will NOT be an easy road so we shall see. I think my optimism comes from the other industries like medicine, archeology, neuroscience, that are all benefiting from AI in incredible ways already. In the end, I do believe people want to see human-made art. We are like, "Wow, neat," when we see an AI generated image. But when we see something a human drew or painted, it's a whole other world. And yet again... we shall see. Who knows. lol

It is going to be a wild journey that is for sure. What an interesting time to be alive and creating art!!

Darrell Pennington Generative AI is working its way into studios as a tool, but it's far better than the retail stuff hobbyists are paying to play with. And it's got a long way to go - it can't replace the VFX pipeline because it cannot create simulation. IE. it paints a picture of what it thinks your description looks like, using a diffusion model. But it cannot create accurate shadows, fluid dynamics, raytracing, etc. because those are simulation effects and require lots of compute to do . AI just guesses. Also, it's about to hit a saturation wall - it will have consumed all available reference material shortly and mathematically then begin a trend to what is called "model collapse" unless some drastic changes in programming occurs, which in turn can require retraining. The other wall, the power wall, is for general AI, and is far, far more demanding than your post indicates. It's unsustainable. The alternative is quantum computing, which this year has proved viable. However.... if you think the AI industrial revolution is changing society, just wait for a couple years. Quantum computing is exponentially crazier... and doesn't require the same power.

I’ve described 2025 the same way — a long, bumpy road: uncomfortable, arduous, and stressful. But 2026 is where it all changes. Everyone who put in the hard work this year and kept going, even when it was tough, is about to glow up. Like fireworks, we’ll shine, glitter, and bang our way across the sky — lighting it up in ways that can’t be ignored. The sky isn’t the limit; it’s just the beginning.
